The Law Is My Shepard

The revelation of the will of God is set forth in the Holy Scriptures.

That is what the law is. The law means "the Lord." I like the way the Essenes, recorded the Scriptures. Every time they saw the word "Lord," they recorded it as "law." So instead of saying, "The Lord is my shepherd," they also understood that in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. God and His Word, or God and His law, are one.

In the beginning was the law, and the law was with God, and the law was God. "The law is my Shepherd, and I shall not want." Once I have the law, I have the Shepherd. "I am the law thy God which healeth thee." "Except the law build the house, you will labour in vain." The law is the Lord, and the Lord and the law are inseparable.

The law, as a noun, is defined in Webster's Dictionary as "a binding custom or practice of a community; or a rule of conduct or action." Can I tell you that your life is what it is because of your conduct or action? What is ruling you? The sun by day or the moon by night? Under which law of circumstances are you operating?

I also like this other definition of law: "The control brought about by the existence or enforcement of such law, or the action of laws as a means of redressing wrongs." In other words, if your life is plagued by constant turmoil and confusion, you need to discover which law has been broken so that you can redress the situation. If you're broke, it means you've been operating by a law of poverty instead of a law of prosperity. If you have been sick, you've been operating by a law of sickness rather than a law of health.

Prosperity and poverty are the same thing. There is only one power! Get away from the belief in other powers. All powers that be are ordained of God. Why is one person prosperous and the other destitute? Because one took the law in reverse. One used the law correctly, and the other one used the law in error. The law works whether you are righteous or unrighteous.

In Mark11:23, Jesus said, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain ..." Jesus didn't say whether you had to be a sinner or a saint, because the law will work for whosoever. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly according to the power that is in you. Stop looking for the power outside of yourself!

When you correct your thoughts, you will learn to eliminate the ills of life. When your thinking is right, you can establish every form you may desire. You can establish everything you want manifested in your life according to the power that worketh in you.

You will eliminate the sorrows of life. When you start thinking correctly, another law goes into operation that starts cancelling out wrong thoughts. You correct wrong thoughts by replacing them with good thoughts. Some call wrong thoughts "the devil," but they are better known as "otherness."Anything that is other than God is an enemy.

Thoughts affect every aspect of your life, because they reveal your understanding of universal law. Every now and then, I will hear someone say, "1 don't have any friends." They've been living by a law of unfriendliness. Proverbs 18:24 says that if you want friends, you've got to show yourself friendly.

If you want a mate, the Bible gives the law on how to obtain one. If you're waiting for God to send you a mate, you're not going to get one, because that is not His business. If you succumb to a critical spirit, and say there is nobody around that is suitable, then He understands that you're operating by the law of singlehood. You've decreed that your mate doesn't exist, so He makes sure that one does not exist for you, according to your word. Even if the right one were sitting under your nose, He'll cancel their appointment to join to your life.

The Old Testament revealed God as a law that governs every aspect of life. For instance, the law of mercantile, the law of averages, the law of definite proportions, the law of dominance, the law of independent assortments, the law of large numbers, the Law of Moses, the law of nations, the law of parsimony, the law of segregation, and the law of war are just a few principles that govern the spiritual realm.

All types of laws govern the secular realm, also. Do you not know that there are thousands of spiritual laws? How you act on the law determines what you will experience in life. The law is either working for you or against you. It is just dependent upon how you position yourself.

The law is universal, but first, we must define universal law. Universal law is God's law, which always is at work. The universe does not lie. The universe serves the deserving.

Proverbs 23:7 says, "For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Because the law is universal, the law will work for whosoever, wheresoever.

The laws of thought are the laws of life. Your life is based upon your thoughts.
